The department of commerce has stretched its wings as a research department in the year 2013 to facilitate research education for women. Master degree in commerce is the qualification requires from M.Phil (Commerce). The qualification must be obtained with a minimum aggregate of 55% marks and it must be recognized by the University of Madras.
Students are admitted in this course through a two- layered selection procedure, comprising a written test and a personal interview.
