Ashtanga has been considered one of the most popular forms of yoga. Ashtanga focuses on a vigorous, physical practice that includes a series of poses linked together with breath to form a continuous sequence. Ashtanga yoga focuses on muscle training and develops physical strength.Practising Ashtanga Yoga rejuvenates the body, making it stronger, toned, more flexible and controlled.In order to inculcate the importance and benefits of Ashtanga Yoga, the Women’s Cell has taken an initative to organize this workshop mainly to bring developments among the lives of the students. More than 180 students actively took part in it.
The Resource Person Mr.Jothi Arumugam, Ashtanga Yoga coach and Psychotherapist, has demonstrated few physical, mental, exercises and asanas to the students. Besides, he has carried out few activities and made the students completely involved in it. The work shop was indeed a good exposure to the students and paved a platform to know more about Ashtanga Yoga.The students' thoroughly enjoyed it.
