National Conference

Bhaktavatsalam Memorial College for Women organized a National Conference on “Challenges in Buisness Practices” – CIBP 2012 by the Departments of Humanities, Information Technology and Mathematics on March 2nd & 3rd, 2012.

The Chief Guest, Mr. N. Surendar Reddy, Solution Architect, Mahindra Satyam, Chennai inaugurated the conference. Dr. R. Kasthuri, Principal, welcomed the dignitaries and the delegates. The presidential address was delivered by Dr. S.P. Rajagopalan, Secretary of the college. Dr. Hemalatha Sundarakumar, Asst. Secretary felicitated the Chief Guest. Mrs. Indira, Conference Convenor presented the conference introduction. The Proceedings of the National Conference was released by the Chief Guest and a copy was handed over to the Secretary. Dr. K.R. Dhanalakshmi, Conference Co-ordinator proposed the vote of thanks for the inaugural session.

The National Conference was enriched by paper presentations in various technical sessions. The sessions were chaired by eminent chairpersons like Dr. S. Guruswamy, Prof. & Head, Dept. of Commerce, University of Madras, Dr. P.T. Srinivasan, Prof. & Head, Dept. Of Management Studies, University of Madras, DR. P. Rangarajan, Associate Prof., Dept. of Commerce, University of Madras, Dr.M.R. Srinivasan, Prof. & Head, Dept. Of Statistics, University of Madras and Dr. D. Pugazhendi, Dept. OF Computer Science, Quaid-e-Milleth, Chennai.

The conference concluded with a valedictory address by Dr. N. Ravichandran, CEO, Lucas-TVS, Chennai who highlighted the various challenges in business practices on the quality perspective and strategies for sustainable growth in business. The certificates were distributed by the Chief Guest.

The Conference Proceedings was summarized by Ms. G. Sumathi, Conference Co-ordinator and Dr. Hema Joe, Vice-Principal & Conference Co-ordinator proposed the vote of thanks.

The conference opened a new window to the latest trends in Humanities and IT & Mathematics and also provided a new avenue for discussion on the innovations

Tamil Conference

The Department of Tamil organized a one -day National Conference on February 23, 2013 on the topic “Autobiographies”. Dr. Prema, Principal of Bhaktavatsalam Memorial College welcomed the gathering. Dr.Sundramoorthy, Former Vice Chancellor, Tamil University, Thanjavur was the Chief Guest of the Conference. Dr. S.P. Rajagopalan delivered the felicitation address. Nearly 100 Research Scholars all over India participated and presented their papers. The selected papers were published in conference edited Book “Autobiographies”. Dr.Jayadevan, Chief Editor Tamil Lexican, University of Madras, Chennai released the book of conference proceedings and it was received by our Vice Chairman, Padmabhushan Dr.Sarojini Varadappan. Ms. Sivasundareshwari, Head, Dept of Tamil proposed the vote of thanks.
