BBA program (Management Study) emphasizes three main objectives for the students: first, on graduation, to prepare for meaningful responsibility immediately. Secondly, to advance themselves in the professional field by doing their master’s degree and thirdly, to build a foundation for a career in Management.
On completion of the degree, students will have gained an excellent foundation in leadership and management of organizations, and the financial analysis and measurement of performance.These skills provide opportunities for students to take up roles in industry, commercial organizations, banking and financial sectors, professional firms, consultancy organizations, etc.A management study is a vibrant discipline, where the students are updated about the information of the skills to be promoted with them to meet the business world with challenge and explore themselves for the future. As culture changes, so do the ways in which individuals work in organizations and interact with their communities.
This study includes learning of Languages, English, basic Accounting and Communication aspects of Business and Trade during their first 2 semesters of I year, with a learning of Mathematics, Computers and varied skills of Marketing, Taxation Principles and Procedures which are practically useful for Business and Trade during their II year of study, and the Research Methodology, various specialization subjects of Production, Human Resources, Finance and Marketing of goods and services during their Final year of study with a detailed practical project work, thus provides integration of different areas.
A pass in Higher Secondary examination or equivalent thereto (Arts / Vocational group) of any combination of subjects.
The duration of the course is three years which includes six semesters with two semesters per year. Each semester has ninety working days followed by examinations at the end of each semester.The odd semesters shall consist of the period from June to November of each year and the even semester from December to April of each year.
The BBA program is a professional undergraduate course. It serves the needs of the bright young persons looking for a career education in business or profession. These students may have excellent academic record, high potential for success and strong motivation for achievement. They are a selected few, out of many candidates, carefully screened through a selection process, with a view to impart quality education, who have the aspiration and determination for success in life. This program develops the student’s intellectual ability, executive personality and managerial skills through an appropriate blending of business and general education.
These graduates have many options in future, regarding their higher studies nationally and globally.Professional Master’s degree of MBA would be the best suit for them with varies specialization or fields of management, which should be in the context of their abilities and personality.Finance is a good specialization, if they have strong numerical and analytical skills, while Marketing is ideal for those with strong interpersonal marketing skills with communication, who are open minded, comfortable with commercial awareness, and Human Resource is apt for those who have high potential with managerial skills of persons with different attitude, beliefs, values, skills, etc.The decision of specialization needs to be taken with care based on their ability, interest and skills.
The BBA program (Management Study) prepares students for executive career in business and other organizations of various sectors like Manufacturing, Trading, Information Technology, etc.This degree is at many times referred to as the golden passport, since it gives its holder an edge in the job market by opening more doors of opportunity.The degree helps the graduates to fulfill potential for high earnings, augmented responsibility, superior commitment, sky-scraping leadership and greater personal development.The present decade has been labeled as the era of business administration graduates.This program assists the graduates in discerning and mounting the unique leadership qualities required for successfully managing business functions, an organizational unit or an enterprise with an objective to produce up-to-date, assertive and effective executives necessary for this current scenario.

Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) course was introduced during the academic year 2009-2010, with a Mission to generate young and energetic business aspirants to satisfy the emerging trends in the business world. Due to increasing demand, the department offered the course in two shifts: Shift I and Shift II in different timings.The course in Shift I and Shift II came into existence during the academic year 2009 - 2010 and 2012- 2013 respectively. The department has a well equipped library with sufficient textbooks, reference books and journals to meet the students’ requirement in the library. The department has qualified and dedicated team of faculty members who strive for the students’ excellence. In addition to academics, the students are also encouraged to take part in co-curricular activities and extra-curricular activities. The Department takes special effort to mold the students so as to equip them to meet the challenges in the business world.

The Department of Business Administration and PG HRM has organized an Industrial Visit on Friday, 18th, October 2019 to SRF Ltd, Manali., The Deputy Manager of SRF Limited Mr. Sandeep has given In-plant training to the students of PG HRM (30 No) at their factory site along with the two Faculty Members. ( Ms. K. Amudha and Ms. R. Rekha.)
The visit includes Polymerization, Spinning, Twisting and Weaving units. The detailed presentation was given by Mrs. Tina, HR Manager regarding HR policies and CSR activities of the organization. The visit was very useful to the students in understanding practical implementation of HR functions and policies.
Inter- Collegiate Event entitled Adroit – 2K19 was organized on 6th February, 2019 in the college Auditorium. The Principal Dr. C.N.Eswari has given welcome address. Mrs.R.Indira, Convenor, Adroit 2K19 has highlighted the event details. Dr.S.P.Rajagopalan, Secretary of the college has delivered special address. Media Fame Mr.Charuprabha Sunder, Editor & Writer has given inaugural address. He has shared his rich experience as a successful journalist and advised the student community to excel in their practical life by hunting knowledge through selective reading. The event was well received by 15 city colleges. The overall championship was bagged by M.O.P. Vaishnav College for Women, Chennai.
The chief guest has highlighted the importance of ‘SYNERGY’ in all walks of our life and has emphasized the role of self-skill co-ordination, a key to success. The proceeding of the conference was released by the dignitaries. Session I (HR ) - Dr.R.Gayathri, Professor & Head, Department of Management Studies, St.Peter’s University, Chennai. The keynote address was given by her on Team building and effective leadership. Session - II (EDP) - Mr.M.Sivalingam, Joint Director, MSME. He spoke on women empowerment through Entrepreneurial skill and have enlisted the opportunities available for budding entrepreneurs. Session - III - Mr.Chandu Nair, Co-founder, Scope E-Knowledge centre member, Chennai Angels. He gave a very practical talk on connection of marketing with all walks of life. It was a very lively session with real life examples. Session - IV - Dr. P.T.Giridharan, Joint Director and Regional Head, ICAI, Southern region, Chennai. He enlighted the audience with his rich experience and knowledge on managing finance .

The students were accompanied by the faculty members Mrs.S.Sharmila and Ms.S.Saranya.
Final year Students from Department of Business Administration (both Shift I and II) have attended an Interactive Session at National Productivity Council, Ambattur, Chennai-50 on the topic Disruptive Innovation presented by Mrs.J.Jayasathya, Assistant Director, National Productivity Council. The session was thought provoking and fruitful, felt by the students those who have attended. The students were accompanied by the faculty members - Dr.P.Jegatheeswari and Mrs.S.Rajalakshmi.
Two Day Workshop on Entrepreneurial skill in association with IIM, Calcutta was held on June 2016. The selected meritorious Candidates (5 No) were shortlisted to attend the event “CARPEDIUM” at IIM, Calcutta, scheduled on 29th January 2017.
The Department of Business Administration and PG HRM of Bhaktavatsalam Memorial College for Women is organising Two Day Workshop on SPSS “ADROIT 2K22” in the college Auditorium on 14th &15th October 2022.
